Description

This Rhododendron Crotch Candle Holder is a unique piece.  It is formed from a windfall crotch (the point where 2 or more branches meet).

The bark has been stripped from the wood and all bark inclusions removed.  Smaller branches have been rounded or hollowed out to give a form that is very pleasing in the hand.  The wood has been sanded until silky smooth and the piece has then been finished in a food-safe hard wax to create something that is incredibly tactile with amazing grain patterns.

The spiked candle sconces are suitable for candles of approx 7cm diameter

A truly unique piece, this would make an ideal table centre-piece or shelf ornament.

Product Care

As this item is finished using a wax, it's not suitable for damp environments such as bathrooms or kitchens. The colours may fade and the finish degrade if the art displayed in direct sunlight such as that found in a conservatory.

To look after the artwork, simply lightly dust with a DRY cloth. You should NOT use a damp cloth or furniture polish on this item.
