‘Fu Manchu’ Cat

Description

This handmade picture, of a slightly alien looking ‘Fu Manchu’ Cat, is hand crafted from FSC approved plywood and framed with reclaimed timber. It has a D-ring on the rear to allow wall mounting.

The Fu Manchu Cat artwork is manually cut into a single A4 sheet of 3mm plywood using a hand-held fretsaw and based upon a design created specifically for this portrait. This cut-out is then mounted onto a further sheet of stained plywood (in this case the colour ‘Ebony’ was used) to show off the detailed cutting. The stain used is water-based and eco-friendly.

The frame is tailor made for this individual piece, using reclaimed  pallet wood and was burned (shou sugi ban) prior to finishing in a food-safe hard wax.
